Cracking Down on Police Brutality

Recently, I read an article requiring police to file a "use of force" report when police use tasers in Connecticut. I think that this is a very good choice by the Government of Connecticut to cut down on police brutality. With the recent issues of police brutality involving Michael Brown and Eric Garner in 2014; people have started the question whether the police are working for the people, or against them. I think that a choice like this will help restore people's trust in law enforcement agencies.

Personally, I think that the police should be required to wear body cameras to show exactly what happened when they kill, injure, or arrest someone. Doing this will help alleviate the problems the jury faced in the Michael Brown case where there were a lot of unknowns which hindered the creation of a verdict.

So what do you think? Should there be extra measures in place for the prevention of police brutality?
